Eli's first Primary talk

Eli talked in primary yesterday. He did great. He talked a little too close to the microphone, so it was too loud, but other than that he was fine. He told me he was not scared or nervous.
His talk was on the restoration of the Priesthood:
The Priesthood is the power of God.
The Aaronic Priesthood was restored by John the Baptist to the Prophet Joseph Smith in 1829.
Later that year, Peter, James, and John gave the Melchezdic priesthood to the prophet.
I love Jesus.
In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Cesar helped him by whispering the words in his ear. My parents came too.
I was so proud of him!

Great Weekend

We had a fun weekend. It's nice that Cesar doesn't work on Saturdays anymore, so we can really enjoy the weekend. It's also extra nice that he gets Fridays off too! My friend Grace gave us some free tickets to Elitch Gardens- free parking, free lunch, and free admission. It was really nice of her! We had fun despite the rainy cold day.
Eli on the little roller coaster. He went on it last summer and didn't like it so much, but this year he liked it a lot. He is so brave.
Eli got to go on stage during this show in the kid's area. He was part of their rock band.

Playing air guitar.
not the best picture, but we tried. We were all pretty wet and really cold.
We all rode the ferris wheel and merry go round together. I think Diego liked the merry go round.
The rest of the weekend was nice too. Friday Cesar took care of the boys while I had some alone time. I went to the library and read books- that is one of my favorite things to do. I've always liked libraries. They I did some shopping at Target.
Saturday before Elitch's Eli and I went to plant flowers at the temple. It was a primary activity.
After Elitch's I went out to eat with some friends from church. It was fun to talk and have a good time.
Sunday we all went to church and had a nice time.
I really look forward to weekends now and it is nice.

Flower Pot

Eli and I planted some flowers today. I've never planted flowers. Last year we planted a tomato plant and weren't too sucessful. I think it's because we don't get enough sun, so we decided on partial sun flowers this year. I'm excited. We walked over to Nick's Gardens and bought a few plants this morning. I love the idea of growing things. One day I hope to have a garden for vegetables and flowers.

Preschool in the Fall

I just registered Eli for preschool to start in August. He will be going on Tuesdays and Thursdays for two hours in the morning. I'm super excited! I'm not sure why I'm so excited about it, but I do think that he will love it.

Eli has been playing games on the computer lately. He is growing up :)! He plays all sorts of things from pbskids.org. It's cute to watch him get so excited.

House of Order

Organize yourselves; Prepare every needful thing; and establish a house, even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, a house of order, a house of God;
Doctrine and Covenants 88:119
Cease to be idle; cease to be unclean; cease to find fault one with another; cease to sleep longer than is needful; retire to thy bed early, that ye may not be weary; arise early ,that your bodies and your minds may be invigorated.
Doctrine and Covenants 88:124

Milestones

Here are some updates on the boys:
- Eli now sleeps without a diaper (3 1/2 years old). He hasn't had any wet sheets so far. I'm so glad.
- Diego is completely weaned! I stopped nursing him when he was 1 year and 3 weeks. I'm glad to be finished with that chapter.
- Diego's first word was "hi". That is actually his only word as of now. His little voice is so cute and he says hi to everyone.
- Diego walks more and more each day. I'm anticipating full walking so I don't have to carry him all the time. I'm not sure why, but I rarely use a stroller for him, so I carry him everywhere. I do use a stroller when we go for long walks outside. I love watching new walkers. Diego loves when he takes a lot of steps- he gets so proud of himself and laughs and smiles so much.
- Cesar and I paid for a babysitter for the very 1st time ever last week! We went to a wedding in Golden and my mom was out of town and Sandra was busy, so we asked a college girl from church to babysit. Everything went well!

1st day of work

Eli was overjoyed when Cesar got home last night from his first day at his new job! Cesar is a CAD designer at Triunity Engineering. He had a good first day and looked so nice in his work clothes. Diego was already asleep when he came home unfortunately. Hopefully that won't be the case every night. I'm so proud of Cesar and am happy my dad's friend had a connection to get Cesar an interview. I'm glad we will start making more money and be able to pay off some of our student loans. We will miss having Cesar around so much though; the boys had fun playing with him and he really helped out around the house.
