Beauty and the Beast

Cesar and I had a nice date Saturday night. We went to Colorado Ballet's Beauty and the Beast. I found out they were selling 2 for 1 tickets a couple hours before the performance. So, Eli and I took a ride downtown and were able to get tickets for the show. Cesar and I enjoyed it; it was very relaxing. From our seats you could see the pit with the orchestra and the stage really well. The music and dancing were very nice, although we both thought it was a little long. We didn't have time to eat dinner before, so we were hungry which is probably why we were anxious for it to get over. It was a cold cold night, but after the ballet we walked to Sam's no. 3 to eat a late dinner. We rode the light rail downtown so while we were waiting for the train outside of Walgreens on 16th street, Cesar bought us Twix ice cream bars! I laughed because it was soooo cold, but he decided to buy ice cream anyways. It was really good though.
Overall it was a great date and I can't help but think it may be our last night out for a while because soon we will have a tiny baby!

This week

This week was pretty fun for us. Tuesday we went to the zoo with my mom and nephew. It was a bit chilly, but overall very nice to be outside and walking around.

This week also Eli came up with a new game to play. He likes to get the laundry basket and put a lot of toys in it and then climb in himself. He tells me he is taking a bath. He even got a washcloth and pretended to wash all of his toys. Funny boy!

Cesar spent a lot of time this week on our computer. Last week it stopped working, so he had to replace the motherboard and power source. Then he had to reinstall a lot of programs and make things like he likes them. He is very particular and spends hours on making things just right!

I have been having trouble sleeping for a while now. It bothers me so much. I know some of it is because I'm pregnant and uncomfortable, but it is also becuase I can't seem to stop thinking and worrying about things. It's annoying to say the least!

Cesar and I also choose a name for the baby this week; Diego Giovanni! I'm pretty sure that is final, but we also like Alex Giovanni.

ABC's

Eli knows several songs, but the ABC song is one of his favorites. (sorry the video quality and lighting isn't the best). Enjoy!

Six more weeks

My due date is in 6 weeks!
This baby moves a lot; it seems like he is constanly moving around. It is a weird feeling and so weird when I can see my stomach moving so much! I don't remember Eli moving around this much.
We still don't have a name picked out, but we are working on it.
Cesar and I toured the hospital the other night- Parker Adventist. It seems like a nice place and hopefully everything will go well there.
I am feeing more and more uncomfortable each day. I feel like a huge pregnant lady and have to change positions very often. I have pretty much stopped carrying Eli anywhere because it is pretty hard on me. Mostly, it hurts my back and round ligament. Ouch! Eli doesn't seem to mind much, so that is good.
I babysat a 5 week old baby boy last week. He came to our house and stayed all day. Eli was excited to hold the baby and wanted to show him all of his toys. He laughed really hard when the baby peed when I was changing his diaper. Eli wanted him to play with him and I had to explain that the baby doesn't even know how to sit up or roll yet.
I wonder how Eli will react when we bring home his baby brother. Time will tell...

Swimming Class

Eli and I took a parent and tot swimming class. It was fun to go swimming each Saturday morning and gave us a fun activity to do. I wanted to do something with just Eli before the baby is born- (I'm not sure how much swimming we are going to be able to do this summer with two little boys). Eli went under water several times eventhough he doesn't really like to. He did like to jump into my arms from the side of the pool, make bubbles, and kick his legs. I was able to get some use out of my maternity swimsuit.

He also loved the bag of candy that his teacher gave him after the last class was over.
