Two Months Old

I love that Diego is getting bigger and older. I have never loved the newborn stage, so I'm happy that the time is going by quickly.
Dressed for the cold weather. Last week we had snow (in May); hopefully now we can have warmer weather and enjoy the Spring and Summer.

This is Diego getting cleaned up in the sink after one of his huge poop outs! He doesn't poop that often, but when he does it's a lot!

Happy Day

Yesterday was a great day! Nothing spectacular happened; it was just filled with normal things, but I felt a lot of love and joy! I really am happy with my life and I enjoy being a mother of 2 and a wife!

Diego and I outside enjoying the sunshine.

Cesar and Eli planting our tomato plant. I'm very excited to have tomatoes this year. I've never planted anything, so I hope it is successful. We don't get a lot of sun in our patio, but hopefully it is enough.

We rearranged Eli's room so we could fit his new toddler bed. We have very limited space, but I think it turned out pretty good. Eli slept very well in his bed last night for the first time. He stayed in his bed all night and slept great. I'm proud of him and I hope it goes that well every night.

Eli has a new Job Chart. He enjoys doing his jobs and putting a sticker on the page.

In the evening we took a family walk with our new double stroller. We walked to Walgreens to buy a few things and then went to a neighborhood Mexican restaurant that we had never been to. The food was pretty good. Diego made quite the scene though. He was crying really hard and loud. I tried to feed him, but he wasn't interested. He really liked walking in the stroller so maybe he just didn't like being stationary while we were eating. There were not many other people in the restaurant thankfully.
Eli also got to ride his new tricycle while we were outside today. He can reach the pedals, but doesn't know how to work them yet. I'm sure he'll figure it out pretty soon.

Diego's Baby Blessing

Yesterday Cesar gave Diego his baby blessing at church. It was a beautiful blessing and the Spirit was felt. Cesar felt so strongly that Diego is such a special sweet spirit.
We all had a great spiritual day together as a family.
Cesar, the bishopric, Bro. Manning, my dad, and Troy were all in the circle to bless Diego. I'm so thankful for the Pristhood.

Gratitude

I am so grateful for all that I have in life. I'm aware that there are millions and millions of people around the world that live in poverty and have hard hard lives. I am so blessed to have my life and do not want to take anything for granted although I know I do everyday.

I'm grateful for.... my husband, my two healthy happy boys, my parents and brothers and sisters, friends, testimony of the true gospel, prayer, scriptures, temples, the priesthood, my home, my car, food to eat, money to spend, education, books to read to Eli and Diego, ability to be a stay at home mom, vacations, washer/dryer, dishwasher, TV, Internet, neighbors, sunshine, singing birds, comfortable bed, parks, paramedics, hospitals, doctors, mountains, visiting teaching, home teaching, Relief Society, Spring, and much much more.

Sweet Brothers

The first meeting at the hospital.

Having fun in their room.

Hanging out on the couch.

Playing with Papi.

Acting silly together.

Eli is 2 1/2!

Eli turned 2 1/2 Saturday! He really seems like a much older boy now that he is a big brother and we have a much smaller boy in the house.

Saturday my parents took Eli and five of his cousins to see Sesame Street Live. They told me Eli really enjoyed it and was dancing and had his eyes wide open the entire time in awe. I'm glad he got to have fun with his grandparents and cousins. Thanks mom and dad. Plus it was nice for me to be able to get some errands done while he was gone.

Here are some things about Eli:

The other day he fell down outside and scratched his upper lip. He told me that his moustache was hurting!

Eli loves Diego and kisses him all the time. He does get frustrated sometimes when Diego cries and says, "Stop Crying!". He is a really sweet and nice big brother though most of the time.

Eli talks a lot and says funny things sometimes. He uses different voices when he is playing with his cars or stuffed animals.

He loves to sing, but doesn't always like it when I sing! Sometimes when I start singing to the music in the car he says, "Mommy, don't sing. Just listen." He is kind of bossy sometimes. :)

He loves to read books and often reads to me.

He loves the movie The Polar Express.

He enjoys nursery and is working on being more reverent during Sacrament meeting.

I put him down for a nap/rest time every afternoon. He falls asleep about half the time, but always has a good rest time alone in his room. I'm very thankful for this! He sleeps really well at night and never puts up much of a fight when it's bedtime or naptime.

He has a couple of stuffed Winnie the Pooh bears and he calls them Winnie the Poo-Poo or just Poo-Poo Bear.

Cesar asked him to say the pray in Spanish the other night and he did all by himself. I don't think he really knew the right words to say, but I like that he tried. I need to learn from him!

I'm so happy that Eli is my son and I get to spend every day with him.
