Ruby lost her first tooth June 24, 2018. She is only 5 and hasn't even started Kindergarten yet! Diego was almost 6 when he lost his first tooth and Eli was 7! The tooth fairy gave her $1.

Diego is 8!
Our little Diego turned 8 in March!
He was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints by Cesar. He is such a special little boy and we love him!

Basketball
Eli and Diego have been playing on Rec Center basketball teams this season. They have had a good time. Here are a couple of pictures. They are both #12
We got free Nuggets tickets and went to a game. It was the first game for the kids and was fun. Diego invited his friend Dylan and Eli invited Ivaras and Grandpa.
Castle Rock hike
We had a great family hike up Castle Rock Sunday. The weather was warm and the kids were all excited to go! They had been asking to go on a hike and Diego and Ruby even packed their own backpacks filled with snacks! They all brought their own hiking sticks that they had picked up in the summer and painted. I'm excited to go on more hikes this year!
Ruby is 5!
Ruby turned 5 on Feb. 1st. Can't believe my youngest is 5! She is a darling sweet little girl. On her birthday she skipped school to go to the Butterfly Pavilion for the 3rd year in a row! We took her little church friend Ava with us. We had a nice time and held Rosie the Tarantula.
Saturday Ruby had a very low key party at home. We invited Greta and 3 girls from school. They played in her room, opened her presents, and ate cake and ice cream.

Ruby and Cashews (again)
Jan. 9th, 2018
Ruby had a bad allergic reaction to cashews again and we had to go to the emergency room. She had a bar that I didn't realize had nuts in it- oops! She threw up in the kitchen sink and then I decided to give her an epi-pen shot in her leg. Then we all got in the car and drove to Children's Hospital. She threw up more in the waiting room. Poor girl! Then they had to give her more epinephrine and Benedryl. She started wheezing and they gave her a breathing treatment.

You can see a welt on her eye
Rash all over her torso
Ruby and I stayed until almost midnight and then were able to come home.
I was watching Breck, one of Ruby's classmates after school so he had to come to the hospital with us. Soon after we got there though his mom came to pick him up and she also took my boys to her house and feed them dinner before Cesar picked them up and took them home. I'm thankful for nice friends.

Ruby's dental surgery
Ruby had dental surgery last week (Dec. 20, 2017). It turns out she had a cavity on every single of her molars and she ended up getting 8 crowns on them! She went to Children's Hospital and went under general anesthesia to get the work done. Everything went well and she recovered so nicely. She was back to school the very next day and back to eating normally the night of! Here are a couple of pictures from the day.
Before surgery in the clothes the hospital gave her
After surgery. I was feeding her slushie and apparently I wasn't giving her a big enough spoonful so she asked to do it herself! She had just woken up a few minutes earlier.
Drinking her juice box in the wagon on the walk out to the parking lot.
We came home and watched Christmas shows on Netflix and ate applesuace and Jello. She did great and never complained about anything! Wow!
