August:

• Diego played football at CTMS
• Cesar, Eli, Diego, and Ivaras went to an NFL game
• Eli started 10th grade, Diego started 8th grade, Ruby started 5th grade
• drove up Pikes Peak to the Summit

September:

• Cesar took the kids to Monster Trucks
• got our pool/game table for the basement
• Naomi and Ava visited
• went to Labor Day Liftoff

October:

• Eli turned 16 years old
• Delane went to Utah with LaResa for Alumni lunch/parade
• Delane went to her first football game at USU in Logan

November:

• Eli went to his first concert with friends
• went to Painted Rocks

December:

• Eli started Rock Climbing
• went to Cripple Creek Ice Castles and saw Rita the Troll
• painted Ruby's room
• Marco came to visit for Christmas and New Years

Ruby's gymnastics

 Ruby is on the Bronze competition team at Peak Gymnastics and Fitness.  She loves it and had her first competition in January.  She practices Tuesday nights and Saturday mornings each week for three hours each.  She is a very dedicated gymnast. I loved watching her at the competition.  She won a medal for 5th place on bars and her team was 2nd all around!  These are her scores:  Vault- 8.825, Bars- 9.0, Beam- 9.075, and Floor- 8.85.  Teresa did her hair before the competition in a very fancy braid.  She has another competition coming up in February and another in March too.

Camping- Woodland Park

 We took a two night family camping trip.  It was just an hour away outside of Woodland Park.  We all had a pretty good time.  We saw a deer, hawks, chipmunks. We walked to a lake and the water was freezing, but that didn't deter the kids from getting in.  Here are a few pictures:

Utah Trip 2022

We went on a family vacation to Logan Memorial Day weekend.  Chloe and Jordan got married.  Congratulations to them!  It was a nice wedding.

2021/22 School Year

 Eli- 8th grade

First Day of School:

Eli's 8th grade continuation ceremony- High school next year!

I subbed often at Chinook Trail Middle School (where the boys go).  I worked with the 7th grade special ed girls and Mrs. M the most. The girls called me "C" for Cervantes.   

Diego played the baritone in the 6th grade band.

The whole year was in person as opposed to the previous 2 school years because of Covid.  All the kids enjoyed school for the most part.  I also liked being in the schools subbing.

Ruby is 9!

 I had a doughnut-themed birthday. Greta was there, Gemma, my friend from school was there and Felicity from church was also there. 

First, we panted little boxes and decorated them with sparkly 3D rose stickers.

 My mom bought chocolate-covered strawberries but they had nuts in them so, we made our own.

  Ivaras and Eli made an escape room for us. A robber stole my presents and we found out that it was Felicity. Then we opened presents.

 Next, we hit the pinata.

After that, we ate doughnuts and chocolate-covered strawberries. 

Then we played with Gemma's fidgets. She has so many of them.
